Change default customer notification emails

Hi,

I would like to stop sending emails telling customers that their order has been delivered when the order status has been updated to delivered. Ideally I want to change the default setting so that the check box is not ticked but if this is not possible then I would like to change the message to say that the goods have been dispatched instead - this will hopefully stop all the customers asking us why they haven't got their goods yet!
