draxion Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Hey Everyone, The backup feature in the admin tool doesn't work for me. Here is the error that I get when I try to backup my database: "Warning: set_time_limit(): Cannot set time limit in safe mode in /home/virtual/site189/fst/var/www/html/shop/admin/includes/functions/general.php on line 733 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/virtual/site189/fst/var/www/html/shop/admin/includes/functions/general.php:733) in /home/virtual/site189/fst/var/www/html/shop/admin/includes/functions/general.php on line 18" I searched around on the forum and it was suggested that the server might be running in safe mode and that this would be a problem that could only be resolved by my ISP. Well... I emailed the ISP is here's the response they sent me: "Due to security issues it is recommended that safe mode not be disabled on any site on our servers. If you just require a backup of your database then please let us know the name of the database and its username and password and we will back it up for you from the server." I've had so many problems with this ISP that I don't trust anything they say. Hence the reason why I'm trying to backup my database. Here's the funny thing... I have three installations of OSC in different directories. One of them actually works fine when I try and back it up. But its a test site and not the one I need to backup. Could the problem be with my code? or is this a server problem. I'd back it up with the sql admin tool, but I have no idea how to use it. Any help would be great! Shayne
