wsobsessions Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Hi all, I'm using a shared SSL. Got everything working, except for when you go to a secured page, the buttons all come up with a RedX. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Lenny
xXDesertRoseXx Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Hey Lenny :) Still having Probs?? Well you not alone with all the ssl probs - me too :( - I think the best to do would be is to place the images into the SSL folder and point to that folder in the config file - not sure if it will work. I was wondering , just in case you managed to sort everything out. could you please give me some pointers as to how to go about it? the answeres I'm needing are: What folders/files go into the SSL folder. How should I change config file? My hosting company have Apache servers and one of the support technicians told me that there is a setting on the server which they set which causes the 2 (ssl and public) to point to each other - they did that for me but the I found that when someone registered tried to log in - you get a file not found page. I look forward to hearing from you if you get a spare moment. Rose The strong survive BUT the best succeed !! 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax
evalguy Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 I assume the red X means those images are missing? When you get that, view page source in your browser and see what the full path to the images are. It's probably looking for the images using the SSL server path. I'm not using shared SSL, so this may not be your problem. If so, you could duplicate the images there. That would also eliminate the messages that users get when they go to an SSL page, stating that "This page contains secure and non-secure items, do you want to view the non-secure items? ...", or whatever that message is. -Neil.

wsobsessions Posted January 16, 2006 Author Posted January 16, 2006 When I switch SSL to false, everything is fine. When SSL is enabled, I get the RedX (with text) where the buttons would be. Can anyone offer any thoughts on this??? Thanks
AlanR Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Have a look at this: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=185617 It's unusual that the problem is only in ssl though. Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)

Hi Alan, Thanks for that. About 10 minutes before seeing this reply from you, I found another solution you offered almost 2 years ago - http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?sho...79entry349379 to "Rob is Busy. A very simple fix in application_top, line 41. Works great!!! Thanks again, Lenny
