overkill Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Hey Everyone, Here is a quick question. Explaination Frist: I have set up my 2 products in a table rate to offer free shipping. I had to make up some fake weight numbers to make this work. Here are the details below. Products: Product A: weight = 100 Product B: weight = 1 Table Rate: if weight = 200 or more then free shipping if weight = 199 or less shipping is $6.75 So the idea here is that if the customer purchases 2 of Products A (weight = 200) then free shipping applies, but if the purchase 1 of Product A and 5 of product B (weight = 105) then shipping = $6.75 This is the only way I could get free shiping to work based on what products they purchase. THE QUESTION... 1a) is there a better way to do this? it seems like a quick fix to me 1b) will this idea screw me over if I use the FEDEX contrib where rates will automatically be generated and billed to the customer because the rate is based on weight? PLS Help!!!

That is how they normally charge so it would have to be based on weight. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? Guest Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 The question I have is, I want to offer free shipping to the users in my wholesale group, I still need to use the fed ex labels but they will not be charged for the shipping.. any ideas?
