My web host (1and1) provides a free shared SSL certificate on a different domain (https://ssslrelay/yourdomain.com) with the normal domain being http://www.yourdomain.co.uk/. I use Paypal and have not moved up to a dedicated merchant sevice yet as their checkout already has SSL protection. So, do I need to install and configure the shared SSL into my site? If so please could someone give me some pointers as to what I should do, what settings need to be changed and how I build this in. I have searched the forums but with so many different questions I have probably confused myself. Hence asking for some advice to get going...! Many thanks. You will never learn if you don't try. And boy am I trying....!
evalguy Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 About to do this myself, but I purchased an SSL certificate. For a shared certificate you shouldn't have to install anything, but you'll need to make changes to configure.php. The file should be self explanatory, but hopefully someone who's done this before will chime into this discussion now. Cheers, -Neil.
