Simple Template Sytem .. not "taking"

Ok - I installed a NEW version of osc (again !)

 

I downloaded STS (STS-3_00b2.zip) .... unzipped it in the includes directory

 

Added the lines to the config.php file (in the includes directory).

 

Changed the protectsion of the sts_templates (and all sub directories) to 777.

 

However not matter what changes I make to the sts_template.html file NOTHING happens on my site !

 

So it's clearly not picking it - up and I'm not seeing WHY ?

 

i checked location, protections and config gfiles again and again ! ANy clues ?
