Hi all...

I'm trying to change the order that the products in different categorys are placed in?

I have:

>CD's

----cd 1

----cd 2

----cd 3

----cd 4

>Clothing

----shirt 1

----shirt 2

>DVD's

----DVD 1

----DVD2

How do I set it up so that when you view the different CD's, they dont show up in alphabetical order, they show up in the order that I want them to??

Anyone help?

Thanks again.

hi mate

did you have any luck with this? i would like to be able to set the order of the product listing.

i found this contribution but i would have thought there would have been a simpler way built in to osc.

I am recieving an error in the admin->catalog page after installing this . . .

1054 - Unknown column 'p.products_sort_order' in 'field list'

select p.products_id, pd.products_name, p.products_quantity, p.products_image, p.products_price, p.products_date_added, p.products_last_modified, p.products_date_available, p.products_status, p.products_sort_order from products p, products_description pd, products_to_categories p2c where p.products_id = pd.products_id and pd.language_id = '1' and p.products_id = p2c.products_id and p2c.categories_id = '0' order by pd.products_name

Any ideas ?

I cant find anything wrong with the install??

Hi

Thought I should close this off, that contribution works a treat.

Some directory paths are not correct in 1.5, but easy to work out.

Cheers big ears.
