di_stephano20 Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Here is my problem: i downloaded oscommerce-2.2ms2-051113.zip from www.oscommerce.com. After I installed it and played a little bit .. i wanted to see how the basic_design_pack contribution lookes like.. and so i installed it.. wow i said to my self.. pretty cool.. but i have a problem now.. I don't know how to change the buttons for "buy now", "search", "reviews" and so on. In the original template - the one that comes with os commerce..- i've had the buttons with images wich were located in the catalog/includes/languages/english/images/buttons dirrectory, but now the images for the buttons are no longer working.. instead it uses the stylesheet.css buttons wich are pretty nasty.. Can someone tell me how can i use this template but with the buttons from the orignal template? -the default osscommerce image buttons? What files do u have to modify so that the images buttons can be used again? because the image buttons are still there but they are not used at all..!!!
MoisesZaragoza Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 what I would do is go to your web site put your mouse over a button right click a droopdown medu should come down. look for propert this you should see address (URL) somplace in the middle it should look like " http://www.yourSite.com/includes/languages...uy-now_bttn.gif " so you are going to save your new buttons under that directort on your site now you are going to at the end of the day the code will be good
di_stephano20 Posted January 12, 2006 Author Posted January 12, 2006 Thats ot what i need.... What i said is this: after i installed a contribution - that was changing the look of the default os comm - i did not have the buttons for review, search, buy now, and so on... instead i have the basic buttons defined in the css stylesheet... and wich i can modify... but unfortunatlly the modifications that i make are reflecting over all the buttons of os commerce... that means that instead of having a button for buy now, one for search and one for review.. i will have the same button for all of them.. and that is unacceptable!!! please help!!! :(

If possible, if you haven't done any other changes to the files, you can just copy the stock osC files back and you are back. And: always make a backup of the files you are about to change ! If something goes wrong you can get back in a snap and retry.
