Guest Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Hi everyone, Apologies if this has been dealt with before, but I'm new here and couldn't find my question answered in a search of the forums. I'm wondering if it's possible to give customers the option of choosing a nickname when they sign up that any product reviews they write will be attributed to. I can't see a way to do this and reviews are currently being submitted under people's full names. This is a bit of a problem given that some of the products we sell are geared towards adults and people don't want people doing a google search on them and coming up with a review of an adult product, and fair enough. As a result, we've had customers withdraw reviews after writing them. It would be great if they had the option of using a nickname to write under. If this has already been covered, please point me in the direction of the thread. Cheers!

However I do not know of a solution except to make some code modifications, which is what I was required to do. If you don't wish to go the coding route and even if you are willing, you might first browse the contributions to see if anyone has added anything. On the particular site I worked on, the site's owner didn't want to capture anything but a nickname and email address. So I got out a chainsaw so to speak lol. Be well, Tina If you're not having fun you're not doing it right Teach a person to fish rather than give them a loaf of bread or however that saying goes.
