Switching Servers - Need Help pointing to database server

Hello,

 

I just switch the dns for my domain over to my new server. My database and Web files are already copied onto the new linux server, from the old windows server.

 

When my domain transfers, how will it know where to find the database, I want it to find the database on the new server.

 

is it in configure.php?

 

Please help, I am desperate.

Yes...you specify the DataBase location in the 2 configure.php files, just update the two files to point to your new DB.

I just tried that, its not working.

 

Its still pointing to the old database.

the include/configure.php files - didnt configure anything

 

it was actually the include/local/configure.php files that needed to be pointing to the db server.
