How do i clear shopping cart

I have looked everywhere trying to find a module that will add a button to clear the shopping cart or select all items to easily remove all items from shopping cart. I have also been trying to develop my own with no success. Does any one have any insite or done this before. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have tried using javascript to checkall of the 'cart_delete[]' checkboxes but this was not working. I tried several differnt javascript methods with functions . Does anyone know how clear a users cart with php or mysql?
