Okay well I am fairly new to OS Commerce. Been using it about a year.

I have one major issue so far that I am trying to solve.

Below is a link to a product on my site

My Webpage

http://www.4x4groupbuy.com/store/product_i...0b403e1520a1a1f

My question is,

If you pull this bumper up on my site it has a different web address each time. I think this is hurting my rankings on the search engines. Is there a way to make it the same each time, or is there a way to hide the last part of the address that is random.

You have to forgive me. I am only some what familiar with what is involved. Someone did my site for me...

Thanks in advance

Jason

The configure file is incorrectly set. That's the session id and it should vanish after a few clicks and be stored in a cookie.

Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux

Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)

Hi there,

Well do you mean on my computer. Or on new customers?

What I am trying to do is get rid of it all the time. I am having problems with the search engines because it is not a static page. Trying to improve my natural rankings on my site

I found this post. I think I am looking to do the same thing. Would this work for my problem?

I am hoping to get rid of this for the search listings. Not so much my computer. (Sorry new to this so maybe that is what you meant)

your session id attached to the url has nothing to do with that.
