FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it!

I installed the rss-news mod and it worked OK but I accidently deleted it and when I reinstalled it I get The following:

 

FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it!

 

What do I do to fix this? I heard it's unsecure to enable register_globals in php

 

OR does anyone know of a great rss contribution that will automatically show my stores products?
