Guest Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 I have just noticed that when I go to my admin section there is no username or password needed to access it, can anyone tell me how to rectify this.
strced Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Create a .htaccess file in your admin folder, you can do this directly thought cpanel or other web hosting front ends....or directly if you have ssh access to your webhost. The contents of the .htaccess file would be a userid and an encrypted password needed to access the directory. Also make sure you are using https to access your admin site.

I have a htaccess file in my admin, thats why I am puzzled as to why this is happening. Any more ideas as to what it could be. Thanks

The other site set this up automatically for me but this new one is missing a lot of stuff. If I could do this waht all would I need to copy over. Thanks
