Guest Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Hi, ive just set my site up and want to remove the Hardware Store reccomends Bit from the site above. im unsure where i do the editing, is it to the PSDs that were supplied with the Site or can i just disable this part of the website? I would like to use this as a news section how hoard would this be to do? Also how do i make it so my site is at root instead of being located at /shop/osc? Thanks Tony :-"
♥Vger Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 The answer to your question is that that part of the homepage is hardcoded - sorry I can't remember in which file. You'll need to replace it with something else when you do remove it. Also, when you come to use SSL you'll find that the sloppy coding in the header is hard-linked to http pages. To move your site to root, download all of the files/folders, upload to the root and then edit out the references to /shop/osc/ in the two configure.php files. That's all. Vger
