terryt Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Hi everyone - I have just uploaded a version of os commerce to my hosting space. Right now, I'm not sure which version of os commerce I have. Anyway, I started out by creating a few products, with images. The problem that I'm having is that the images that I have loaded are being distorted (stretched vertically, compressed horizontally). Could anyone tell me what I can do to correct this ? thanks, TT
Jack_mcs Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 The image size is set in admin->images->small image width (and height). You need to play with them to get it to look right sometimes. It depends on your original images. If they are all different dimensions, then it won't work properly. Setting one of the values to blank will sometimes help. Installing one of the autothumnailer contributions will make it so the images always look right and will probably speed up your shop too. terryt Posted January 11, 2006 Author Posted January 11, 2006 Thanks for the info Jack. Would you happen to know where I can go to get the auto thumbnailer ? The other thing I suppose I could do is to make all me images the same size before uploading them ? I think I'll try your suggestion of setting one dimension as blank and let you know how that worked out.
Jack_mcs Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 There are a number of them but I think this one is considered one of the better ones.
