kgt Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 You probably have a control panel like cpanel available. You should be able to change the password using this tool. Contributions Discount Coupon Codes Donations

The login for the Admin section is an .htaccess which is easily accessible through cPanel by going to the Password Protect Directories. Click on that, then there is a listing of directories, and the one with the LOCK is locked. Click on this and it will take you to the usernames. You will then have to modify the password there. As for non-cpanel system, you probably will have modify the .htaccess through FTP. (This is one way, have not found through the admin yet). Slingshot Sometimes Known As CJ

I've tried changing the osc admin password via Cpanel's tool. It does get changed but when I try loggin in using the new or the old set of username/password, i can't logit. This is strange and very annoying. Is it because of some problem in the server?

Your host should provide you full support on password-protecting your directory. This is a feature they provide, and they should provide support for it. Contributions Discount Coupon Codes Donations
