housey Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Hi, I have uploaded oscommerce-2.2ms2-051113 and when going through the installation I click continue on the screen with the two checkboxes for 'import catalog database' and 'automatic configuration' but after a few seconds it just refreshes the page with the url being http://blahlbahblah/install/install.php?step=2 I have done some searching but none of the solutions offered to others have helped. I know the PHP and MySQL versions are ok as i'm already running another install of OSC on the same server. The only thing I can think that it might be is that i'm having to access the site via a 'site preview' icon within the web server GUI, so the url is basically the http://IP/domainname/ (The person who i'm doing the site for hasn't added the DNS servers to their domain yet). What i've tried to do is manually edit the configure.php file with the necessary info like server, database name, password etc - thinking index.php would see this and bypass the install wizard. Anyway around this problem? TIA
housey Posted January 9, 2006 Author Posted January 9, 2006 Ok, that did ork... think i didn't edit the right one :rolleyes: Anyway the shop loads now but no CSS or anything... i'm guessing that is the screwy URL and all the paths are incorrect. I'll no doubt be back :blush: :thumbsup:
