Shipping Rates For Each Item?

I don't know if this is possible and maybe a challenge for someone. I need to set the shippiing rate for each individual item via admin.

When adding an item via admin i'd like to set the shipping method and cost so it's fixed.

The reason for this is that I will be selling some items that require sending via parcel carrier with insurance and some items that are cheaper so can be sent via regular mail.

The insurance for more expensive items is for my benefit.

If left to customers to choose then they will always select the cheapest way which is not good for me.

This will also mean removing the shipping options from the checkout process although the page needs to remain so customers can confirm their shipping address and to display the shipping method and cost.

I know this is quite a big task but will probably be of use to a good many oscommerce users.

A real big thanks to anyone that can help.

I have installed this contrib but am now receiving the following Fatal Error at the shipping page of the checkout process.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare tep_show_category() (previously declared in /home/digi3ma/public_html/shop/includes/header.php:223) in /home/digi3ma/public_html/shop/includes/boxes/categories.php on line 13

Anyone Help?

I've pretty much sorted the problems that I was having and they were all due to my template monster template in that the catagories are defined in the header file so deleting catagories.php solved most probs.

This contrib is now working but I would like to know if it's possible to make an addition.

I would like to add in the exact same way via admin a description of the delivery method so the customers now how the goods will arrive.

I.E

Shipping Method: Royal Mail - Recorded Delivery

Shipping Rate: ?1.33

If you can help then I would be most greatfull.
