vimcat Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Hi Adam, Did you figure out the problem? I'm having the same issues but mine is an old installation. It was working fine and the images folders seems to have the correct permissions. idealedu Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Adam I too am having the same problem. I ended up looking into the database via my host toolkit and changed the product address there. Then the images appeared on the admin and catalog sites. Prior to this if I tried to add an image to a new product and hit the browse button, I would get my computer hard drive. I would enter the address from there and then amend to the database address, but it would not load the image. I will be sending an email to the host to find out if they can give me an answer because its going to be a hassle if I have to input all the products via catalog admin then go to the host database and amend the address!!! Got this from my host so my problem is over, but may help vimcat: I believe in an older version on oscommerce you needed to upload the images and then supply the description of where the files were on the server. The way it works now is you browse to the file on your hard drive and then once you hit preview, it will upload the file for you and it should display correctly.
PiperRustic Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 I think the problem I am having is similar. But my images did upload ok.. and in ADMIN they show up fine when adding or editing the categories and products.. but when in catalog view some of them preview and some of them don't.. Some of them don't preview and if you click the link again they do.. and some won't preview at all and some preview every tiime... why the difference? any ideas? http://www.piperrusticfurniture.com/catalog
