sirakoz
Hi, I'm new to using oscommerce, have been looking at its different features, and I find it to be very useful for creating different store websites, but I currently have one problem: Is it possible to change the general design of the default oscommerce look without some major code changes? An example of this design can be found at http://server3.uploadit.org/files/eyrifeekon-design1.jpg I blacked out a few things and I circled the links in red. If I want to use oscommerce features with a similar design, am I better off just recoding everything from the start? Thank you in advance.

I don't how coding something as complex as a shopping cart system from scratch could be eaiser than spending the time to manipulate OsCommerce to a design that you want to use. I forgot to mention a couple of things. I won't actually need all the features of osCommerce. I currently won't need a shopping cart system and a payment plan, but might in the future. What I will be doing involves creating a login system, a different admin menu that allows you to add categories, products, etc... Clients can check the different products, their prices, etc... The project is rather simple compared to all the features osCommerce provides, and changing the whole design seems to be more work than I might need to do. I'm a bit lost. :(
Jack_mcs
It's not difficult to change the look of an oscommerce shop but it can involve a lot of changes. To do what you want, for someone experienced in it would not take very much time. But for someone who has not done it before, I'm guessing a few weeks to a few months, dependng upon your level of experience and how much actual time you put into it.
