BlackberryBuckets Posted January 2, 2006 Share Posted January 2, 2006 Hi there, I am very new to osCommerce. I downloaded and installed it this evening. I was able to go in and start setting up in the control panel. When I came back 20 minutes later I had this error report: Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/content/b/e/r/berrybuckets29/html/catalog/admin/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! BlackberryBuckets Posted January 2, 2006 Author Share Posted January 2, 2006 Thanks Matti. I created a new database and reloaded the entire thing. It seems to be okay now. Quick question, before I get all delete happy :D The "extras" file and all the other stuff that download with the catalog, are they necessary...or can I clean them out. The change log, etc. Also, if I only plan to run english, can I delete the other languages and their folders?
