Hi,

Just started with osCommerce and when going to admin page, I don't get login interface so anybody can go in and do whatever...!! any idea what could be the problem?

Thanks.

Hi - i'm having the same problems like the guy above, and the answer was to rename a file, but what file?

In the documentation file it states that " You need to .htaccess your /catalog/admin directory so that it is password protected. You can use the password manager in your server admin area like cpanel."

How can i do that^, im using XP, and i cant set anything for my files, besides read only and so on.

And i would like to know how to change the language to danish? I cant find it anywhere, but i have found others who have a danish eCommerce site, so i guess it can be done.

Plz help.. It's so annoying that it wont work :)

If this is a local install (Intranet) of your website on your own computer then you don't need to password protect your admin folder. If you are running a local web server on your computer you do need to have a firewall in operation on your computer - to prevent unauthorised access to your computer via the web server.

For the Danish language you need to go to Contributions (link under Community at the top of this page) and download and install a Danish language pack.
