lilralph
Hope this is in the correct forum. I have launched a oscommerce and advertise with google adwords. I have customer registering because this is the only way that they can figure shipping charges. Now my question is there a way to see what customer had in cart and why possible the did not purchse. Or is there a way to send a survey on why they did not purchase. Since adwords launched in Dec.1 I had 186 visitors and only 3 orders. My pricing seem to be in line and also not making money on shipping. Just would like to know why no orders. I am using a themed template that I downloaded for free. Thanks..... ♥14steve14
I dont know if its what you need but there is a contribution called recover carts that may help you. It can be found here recover carts It allows you to send emails to those customers who placed items in their carts, but never continued with the purchase. I found it very usefull for finding out what was wrong with my old site. Give it a try. REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP
ozcsys
Steve is right, the recover cart sales contribution is a must have as far as I am concerned. I have seen some studies about abandoned shopping carts though and have seen figures that say from 70%-95% of all carts are abandoned. Sometimes it is because they had a problem and sometimes it is becuase they are just window shopping and getting prices and have not yet decided to buy and sometimes they are comparison shopping. It is the first or third reasons that make recover cart a nice tool, because even if you do not end up getting the sale from the customer you will a lot of times be able to find out the why of your lost sale and maybe make some changes to your product list, shipping, or store checkout to help keeping you from losing sales in the future. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
