Chicoweb
I'm not sure if I"m having a brain fart, but where is the title tag defined in OSC? Is it the store name? Because I tried that and it wasn't changing. Is it in the admin section somewhere or will I have to maunally change it in the DB? Any suggestions? However, that will change it stroe wide, which is not good for the search engines. You really should install the Header Tags controller contribution if you want them set up correctly. Installing the full version of Header Tags, or even Dynamic meta tags if you prefer, can be difficult so people are opting for easier to install contributions. Setting up a site for the SE's is one of the most important steps a shop owner can take to ensure its success. Taking shortcuts in this area is a bad idea. This is just my opinion and is not meant for anyone in particular. I just thought it should be stated. Hi Jeff--cool, another chicoan here...This is Rodney here...it is in includes/languages/english.php---this does change it on the whole site though...you could use header tag controller, but depends on your needs...be well bro! "I must admit that I personally measure success in terms of the contributions an individual makes to her or his fellow human beings." ---Margaret Mead--- "The answer is never the answer. The contributes scare me because the site has been so modified from OSC. :) Yeah, I broke my shop once with it, I think I told you about it...because of the sql query it undid some other sql querys I already did, or else modified them somehow. who knows...I gave up and stick with the title I have and the meta I have for the whole site, it works, I get descent traffic...probably not from google though! ddp
I installed Meta Tag Controller yesterday and it is very nicely laid out. If you make a backup of your site (and database) before you begin any modifications you should be fine. I think it will be worth the effort. Having something like this installed seems to be integral to having useful lisings in Search Engines. BTW did I mention to BACKUP before you begin? Backup before making changes. Backup before making changes! Backup before making changes!! You did do a backup? eh?
