dlcmpls
Hi all. I'm sure this issue has been addressed but I have not found any info searching the Forums. My client needs to charge local city tax for orders. My client has about 5 cities that require an additional half cent sales tax. So anyone within those cities has to pay the local tax plus state tax. We are in MN which charges 6.5% tax. The MN tax is working correctly. The local taxes are all .5%. I've found a few Contributions for local tax but I wanted to confirm that I cannot set up local, city taxes in osC. Is that correct? Can osC not handle local city tax "as is?" Do I have to use a Contribution to facilitiate local city tax? If so, I'll do that. Just wanted to make sure that I cannot setup a local tax in osC without a Contribution. Thanks in advance for any feedback. dlc
Guest
you need to define a tax zone for each city. Pretty much like you define a tax zone for a state. Look the contributions under the zones section. There're many examples.
