On your local PC zip the file, you'll be surprised, it'll be about 10% - 15% of the original size, database files are ideal for compression, there are lots of space characters and tons of repeticious lines and entries. Then try uploading it into phpMyAdmin, it understands zip format automatically. I helped someone else with a similar problem, he emailed me a 3MB file. I gzipped it to about 350K, emailed it back to him and he imported it no sweat. Do you have a plain text editor that will open a 15MB file? Different versions of phyMyAdmin have slightly different interfaces, what version is running for you? AlanR
It looks like the file became corrupted somewhere along the line. It becomes more complicated now. I assume you're using a shared version of PMA provided by your host. I suggest you download and install the most recent version, get it at http://www.phpmyadmin.net/home_page/index.php If you need help post back, once it's installed we can try more things. If the file on your PC is corrupted the one on the server may be fine, the trick is to import it from a server directory which we can define. Are you trying to restore a backup to an existing store or trying to set up a new one?
