herot Posted December 27, 2005 Share Posted December 27, 2005 i am wondering if there would be a way to run two prices for every item on a OScommerce site... we sell retail and wholesale items and the wholesalers need to provide a password (or have a user account with specific priviledges) in order to access the wholesale version of a products price... also is there a way to stop the cart from resizing my pictures... all our 10,000+ pictures are different shapes and sizes ( i size them to 150w OR 150h according to whichever is larger before the resize) ? can i add a field into the specific table in my specific database for an 'extra' price field (wholesale), and then when/if the customer is logged in with 'wholesale priviledges' the see the alternate price?? i am new to apache, mysql AND know nothing about PHP, i did however install all of the following successfully and even got phpmyadmin installed to administer my hosting company's mySQL server (my database only) we are currently using PDG cart and have a HUGE text file with like 14 lines per item ... i am trying to implement some kind of makeshift sql database so that i can import/export CVS files in order to keep the products updated and to remove the out of stock ones... anyway i know its very complicated but any advice would be appreciated... On the image resize, don't know about that but I did put in the... on the fly auto thumbnail contribution (think that is the name of it lol) and I really loved what it did for my pictures. It is strange in WinXP/Firefox isnt showing the dwnld icon (the link is there when the cursor is over the spot the icon is - but icon is invisible). FFx/Mac shows up. IE in WinXP shows up too.
