sboy
Dear All I am a newbie to oscommerce. I have just encountered a problem. Some of my customers bought a product and they paid to PayPal. Although I could receive the sum of money, I am not able to see any order details on the admin page of my web. That is I saw none order record. What happens? Is it true that those customers were not willing to use oscommerce shopping cart page and they would like to transfer money to me directly via PayPal website? Would anyone help me fix it? It is too trouble to ask those customer for which items they bought. It seems to be non-professional. Thanks a lot! sboy

Thanks a lot! sboy The problem can be that if a customer does not return from Paypal to your shop the order is not recorded with the default osC Paypal module. If a customer does return from Paypal to your shop the order is normally recorded. There is a couple of solutions for this: 1) Install the osCommerce Paypal IPN module found here 2) Install the Master Password contribution With option 2) you can log in as your customer and see their shopping cart as they would see it and you'll know very easily what they ordered. Disadvantage is that you still do not have a valid order in your database but at least you know what is ordered. Option 1) will be the best solution but advisable is to have both installed.
