Guest
Hi, all! I've been running the Option Type Feature contribution, and recently noticed that upon paypal checkout, any data input in those fields gets dropped. As a result, I have to get in touch with the customer to ask them for the information that they already submitted when they ordered. Has anyone else run into this? Any suggestion of how to fix it?? Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you!!!!!
Jack_mcs
Are the attributes showing up in the order in admin or is just the email it is missing from? Guest
They aren't showing up in either one. I can't see them in the admin panel, and the customer doesn't get the info in the confirmation email. I'm at a total loss...
Guest
Ok...after doing a bit of digging, here's what I've figured out... 1. the only problem seems to be with the text fields 2. the only time there is a problem is when paying via paypal - check/money order payments are fine 3. when paying by paypal, it doesn't even write the values to the database, but it does store them when paying by check or money order Any suggestions would be great. Jack_mcs
When you place an order, do the attributes follow all the way trhough to the checkout confirmation page? My guess is that they don't which means that something is wrong in your installation. Take a look at the changes needed in the includes/classes directory. I would try just using the one from the contribution as a quick test. Guest
They seem to follow through until the confirmation page. I'm not sure exactly where it's dropping them. I'm going to go back through the mod to see if maybe something else I modded may have dropped a string of code somewhere. I'll let you know if I figure it out. Thanks so much for the help! Jack_mcs
Sounds like the right decision. Be sure to check the configure.php changes. The instructions mention about the text fields needing special handling.
