Guest
We have one client on our server (Windows) using osCommerce. In her directory for OSC, she has a file that is about 7G. It's name is the exact name of her domain name (example.com). Anyone know what might this file be, can it be deleted, etc?
Guest
The file is about 7.5G now and it is located in the wwwroot\oscommerce\catalog folder wiht the same name as the domain name and it has a current time stamp. Does anyone know what is being written to this and why? Can I delete it and it start over?
kgt
I'd imagine it's a log of some kind. What's in it? Contributions Discount Coupon Codes Donations
Guest
Well that's the problem. I cannot seem to open it because it is very large. It does seem to be a log since it is growing - it is 7.89 G now. Can it be deleted and it start to log again or is there a setting in there that can stop this from doing it? AlanR
Most likely the user turned on Store Page Parse Time and you're seeing that log. I've seen this before, it's an option in admin that some newbies turn on. They can also turn on: Store Database Queries Then the file grows at an amazing rate. AlanR
If you delete it a new one will be created till you turn off those debugging features. Guest
Thanks - I'll delete it now and @ least that will get rid of the file (which is 8.015 G this morning). And then let them know to turn that feature off unless it is really needed.
