Hi Bruce - I'm new to this and I've been working on the same issue most of the day, searching and searching through the forum. Anyway for whats is worth I've managed to get my images to now show up. I could create a new product to a catergory but could not get my images to show. One image name was budgets.jpg. Then I noticed that most all the files in the catalog/image directory all except a couple have an underscore in the file name and are gif images so I renamed my file on my hardrive to budgets_01.jpg and its now visible in the online catalogue and the admin section. I didn't manually type in the image path and name in the box I used the browse button and browsed my harddrive for the renamed file selected it left the path to where it was located on my PC then clicked the PREVIEW button and the images now show Hope its of some help to you. Nacer
A link to your website will help. Images file name has nothing to do with it, for sure something else is preventing your images from showing up. Regards, Nacer.

Have you set your permissions on the images folder correctly?
