problem creating new user

hello again,

 

1st

I made a test purchase in my shop and tried to create a new user. After checking the input form the create new user page reloads without doing anything. I didnt get an email and the user wasnt created. what could cause this problem, folder premissions?

 

2nd

I dont want users have to enter e.g. their telephone number. Switching that off in the backend isnt possible. how can i do that?

1) not folder permissions. Is this a new install? Has this ever worked? Do you have errors (that you know of) in other areas of the website? Did you install osCommerce or did someone else install it?

 

2) look for Custom Create Account in the contributions area.

new install, but worked before, no other errors, I installed osc on my own, I get no error messages,

i changed sql pwd to see what happens -> error message
