BenFremer
Can I just download all of the files at the current, properly configured store, reupload them to a new server/store, and then tie in the database somehow and suddenly have all of the same contributions already installed on the new store? Please let me know. Thanks, Ben Fremer
kwalker
I would install the new store 1st, then test that it runs ok,,, then upload over top of it. Please let me know. Thanks, Ben Fremer Yes, the only thing the install routine does is set the values in the two configure.php files and inport the sample database (if you choose that option). So upload all the php files to the new location, import the database using phpMyAdmin (only needed if the contributions have db support, ie: they draw data from non standard tables or fields in the db. I'm assuming you're not reusing products from the old db). Set the configure.php files to match the new server and db details and you're good to go. Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)
♥Vger
If your idea for a Contribution revolves around osCommerce coming pre-loaded with several contributions then that would be counted as a loaded version of osCommerce - and I'm as certain as I can be that it would not be allowed.
