Problem with SQL Database after moving Webhosting

Guest

Recommended Posts

I had my modified site basically working but changed hosting because of such bad uptimes. I am now using GODADDY. I uploaded the site after changing the configure.php but I have done the changes wrong.

I have located oscommerce in my root. My directory in the root are as follows.

admin 1051223 20:17 4096

catalog 1051224 10:47 4096

cgi-bin 1051223 20:57 4096

cp 1051224 11:02 4096

download 1051223 20:59 4096

ext 1051223 20:58 4096

images 1051224 11:16 69632

includes 1051224 11:28 4096

pub 1051224 11:30 4096

When I call my site, I get the correct home page, but I am linking to the oscommerce sql database not mine.

My user name is CanStamps, My database is CanStamps and my server is mysql85.secureserver.net

Can someone clue me in on what chage I should make with examples if possible.

Another pronlem is with my admin. when I go to admin and click on anything I get an error of "page not found".

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. :D

Sounds like you just copied/pasted your site over to the new server. If you did, you should "install" a fresh store, and once you test that everything is working properly, then you would upload over top of that.

Also be sure to check your new database name/passwords/username compared to your old one. Depending on your server setup your database name may need to be changed. But if you setup your new store with the old database name, try the fresh install.

What do you see when you open up the tep_database-pr2.2-CVS.pdf file that came with your osCommerce download?
