shindakun
Background_______________________ _ _ For my upcoming store I wanted more then just a similar themed blog section. I wanted a more integrated feel. So, I decided to do away with the 'customer greeting' on the osCommerce index page and replaced it with the latest post from a Wordpress blog running on the same MySQL database. Try it out if you'd like... ravenpolar
Try it out if you'd like... Posted Here: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,3886 Hope you dont mind a bit of praise and a question... Managed to integrate this contrib with no problems and it works great, so far I am really impressed at the implementation. My question is how can I retain the formatting of the blog post in the info box on the main page? Basically I want to still have the line feeds and returns in the news item on the main page, even though it will increase the size of the box. Many thanks Phill
CLRH2O
Shindakun, I've been unable to get your contribution to work. Instead I get: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tep_db_query() in /usr/www/users/cii/formationrecords.com/wp.php on line 34 And line 34 in your wp.php document is: $wp_term_relationships_query = tep_db_query("select c.object_id from wp_terms a, wp_term_taxonomy b, wp_term_relationships c where a.term_id = '$category' and a.term_id=b.term_id and b.term_taxonomy_id=c.term_taxonomy_id order by object_id desc limit 1"); The website is hosted on pair dot com if that's any help as to the actual mySQL version they offer (and I would be using) there. View the error live here: http://www.collectiveindustries.com/format...s.com/index.php Anyclue as to what could be going on? I'm using a Wordpress v2.3.3 clean install on it's own database that's separate from the OSC database. My Wordpress install it's self works fine: http://www.collectiveindustries.com/format...ecords.com/news What do you think?
