DustinW
Hi all, First I want to congatulate the makers of OSCommerce with a wonderful product the made! I love it! The next thing is that i have a strange problem. There seems to be a difference in the way IE and Firefox display the tables in for example the Product Listing. In Firefox there is between the Product, price and Buy Now a white border (cellspacing), but in IE it is not there. You can see for yourself (if you have IE and Firefox off course): http://www.ladyfm.nl/catalog/index.php?cPath=21 It is not operational and i'm just testing it for another site. I tought that i maybe made some wrong changes to the CSS so i restored the original. The RED corners are some modified gifs. For the record: I do want the white spacing between the cells ;) I'm thinking to re-install, but before i do i'd like some experts opinion. Thanks for your help! ♥Vger
Mozilla based browsers, by default, show a border around tables and sub-tables, which IE doesn't. To see those borders in IE you'd need to specify border=1 (in those tables in which you want to see them). Also, IE adds 3 pixels padding (left and right) inside tables because of the Doc Type used in osCommerce. You need to specify the Doc Type as running in Quirks mode if you wish to get rid of them in IE. But even then it can be problematic, and you may have to adjust some of the styles. ♥Vger
The CSS area at www.w3c.org is a mine of information. Also Firefox has many extensions that help with tracking the formatting of css. Vger
