It's an image called header-over_03.jpg. It's not osCommerce so whomever designed that for you has to create one without the word 'New'. The image is found inside the directory (catalog)/images

Just get the image and edit it in your favorite image editing program and you are done.

It looks like the images are stored here:

 

templates/8725/images/header_03.jpg

 

and

 

templates/8725/images/header-over_03.jpg

 

There will be two images that will need to be edited with a image editor like paint shop pro or fireworks or similar.

 

It would probably be a fairly simple cut and paste situation.
