SMTP EMail Not Working

WinXP Pro SP2

PHP 4.4.1

IntegraMOD Portal with phpBB 2.0.18

OSC 2 MS2

 

 

 

I have email set to true and smtp. I installed the mail_factory scripts that allow me to set smtp auth vars. They are all set.

 

However nothing works. I have tried mailfactory_test.php and email_test.php and nothing works. HOWEVER, I can send email from PHP with no problems. I just cannot send email from OSC. I am having problems with PEAR and cannot get it work. I am assuming that mail::factory is a PEAR component.

 

Is there any other way that I can send emails from OSC especially since I can send them from phpBB? I've searched the forums here and read most of the threads. They seem to go no where though. I've looked through the contributions more than once to find another way to send email from OSC but have not found anything. So I am asking here just in case I missed something along the way. Also, is there a way to install mail::factory without installing using pear?

The only change I made was that I set the transport type to sendmail (from smtp). Because you did not say so I am assuming that no other program/module/component is required.

 

I sent the message about 5 minutes ago and I still have not received it. I do not know how sendmail sends mail but my ISP does require authorization. I wish there was a place in the osc config to set that.

 

Any other ideas?
