Is an instalation, wich didnt realy got well perform, and then just in case of missing something, I upgrade it. now I am sitting not knowing where to start. There's no need to perform an update unless you're moving from a very old installation (MS 2.1) which is out of date for at least three years. No versions of osCommerce 2.2 require it. Just start with the current download from the download page here.
