Product Attributes won't sort properly

I'm setting up a shoe store for someone and the shoes come in various sizes as we all probably know. So I setup the size attribute and entered all the sizes. They are all in the correct order as I inputed them. 1-13 I think. Anyhow when I go to accualy add the attribute to the product they sort fine for 8 7 6 5 but when I add 4 to the product it screws everything up. 4 gets jammed between 8 and 7 I think. And when I check the product page the drop bar lists them in order 4 5 6 8 7. Does anyone know anything about this? Is this a known bug or just something I screwed up and didn't notice? Any help would be massively appreciated. The store owner is a drop anal about it and it NEEDS TO BE PERFECT.. hehe..

I'm also having this problem. There's no rhyme or reason to how these attributes organize themselves. For instance, on one of my items, the attributes are fine but when it sends the invoice via email they are all backwards!

There are several contributions for setting the order you want your attributes and options to show up.

 

Just go here http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions and search for option sort or attribute sort and you will have all kinds of choices. : )
