megaman
These may have been done already but this is what I need: 1) Box on the front page of oscommerce on either the right or left column that gives people the ability to subscribe to the mailing list without becoming a member. Just a simple form to put in their email address and a submit button. 2) A way to pull the product showing in the "Whats News" box in to the homepage of my main website. I have set up a simmilar box on my site and just want to display the random contents of the image and text and link that shows in the Whats New box like when you are on the cart page. It should be a simple PHP Include but I can not figure it out. If someone can make the code or knows where it is already please let me know. Thanks in advance! Start by telling me if you want it in a content box like the ones on the side, only in the middle of your page where your main text is (kind of like the new products for this month box) or if you just want it before/after your main text with no box. Its just a matter of details I guess.
i4detail
Well, I'm not sure what he's looking for, but I'd be happy just to be able to include the "What's new", um, include, on non-OS Commerce pages of my site. I've got three columns; left is navigation, middle is the page content, and on the right I have a random image from my photo gallery. I'd also like to have a random, or what's new preview from OS Commerce in the same column. I've gone poking through the documentation, and around the forums, but I haven't found any solution yet. Say you have added a printer to your site... Well I want to be able to also display that printer in a box on my homepage which is NOT oscommerce but another .php page outside of the catalog folder. My site is not just a shop so when people come to domain.com it is my site and then there is a menu item which allows them to view my online shop... domain.com/catalog On the home page of my site domain.com/index.php I have right and left content boxes and want to include in one of the left column boxes either the specials or whats new content from the online shop... (remeber it is located at domain.com/catalog) Does that make it more clear? Thanks, C

Seeing that nobody has fielded this.... go over to Contributions, search for "Anywhere" You'll come up with Randomize Anywhere and osCommerce anywhere. I used the latter. Check it out. Should get you started.
