Hi All!

Os Commerce is currently installed onto our server in a folder titled catalog.

How do we make the OsCommerce shopfront visible to our web customers? There is nothing on our web site at the moment that lets our customers know we now have a web store.

How can we make the shop visible on our website?

Merry Christmas!

You either need have a "home page" such as index.html in your site's root folder which has a link pointing to your store. Or you can move osC so that its folder is your root folder rather than /catalog/ There have been several posts this past week on the "moving" thing, so if you decide to move that direction, browse the posts and you find some information there.

Be well,

If you're not having fun you're not doing it right

Teach a person to fish rather than give them a loaf of bread or however that saying goes.

Hello Tina,

Currently on our web site home page we have a menu button called 'books/videos' which takes people to a page where previously they would download an order form and fax it to us if they wished to make a purchase.

We would like to now replace this page with the Os Commerce shopfront.

Do you have any tips on how to successfully do this?

Merry Christmas!

Copy all of the files and folders in your 'catalog' folder (but not the folder itself) to the root of your web. Then edit both configure.php files to remove the references to 'catalog' - it's now installed in the root. If you then delete any index.htm or index.html page you have at that level then pople will see your osCommerce website as the landing page.
