"Cleaning" my logo for "dust"

Recommended Posts

Hi,

When I uploaded my logo to my oscommerce shop, I saw that it was somewhat "unclear" with "noise" around it. It does not look like this in the reality (on my pc and on my webhotel in other files). Is there a way to "clean" the logo, so this dissapears?

Very grateful if somebody know the answer. Have tried in adope photodeluxe business edition, but it got worse after uploading it again.

Here is the link to my unfinnished shop, to show you what I mean. The logo is on the left at the top of the page. Thank you for looking:

It looks the same when viewed in it's own window. It has a lot of .jpg artifacts in it. Maybe you resaved it more than once as .jpg, it degrades each time you resave it.

I'd go back to the "original" original and resave to .gif if possible. You may need to start again from scratch in actual size.

Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux

Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)

why not use adobe illustrator to redraw it, save for web as a gif...it will be clear and clean that way

"I must admit that I personally measure success in terms of the contributions an individual makes to her or his fellow human beings."

"The answer is never the answer. What's really interesting is the mystery. If you seek the mystery instead of the answer, you'll always be seeking. I've never seen anybody really find the answer -- they think they have, so they stop thinking. But the job is to seek mystery, evoke mystery, plant a garden in which strange plants grow and mysteries bloom. The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer.
