New Installation

 

Database Import

 

A test connection made to the database was NOT successful.

 

The error message returned is:

 

Lost connection to MySQL server during query

 

Please click on the Back button below to review your database server settings.

 

If you require help with your database server settings, please consult your hosting company.

 

 

 

 

 

What should I change to not get this error? All my passwords, databasename etc. is correct...

If you have double checked and all of your database entries are correct, I would contact your host and ask for their assistance. For some reason you are not talking to your database and unrelated to osC.

Shouldnt I change anything in my configure file? If so what? I havent changed anything in that file.....but I should change password, databasename etc. so the configure file matches my databas login? If so where do I do this change?

Check that you have not enabled Persistent Connection for your site (some hosts bar the use of them), and also check that you have not enabled ssl if you don't have ssl available for your site - that too can cause the connection to be lost.
