If anyone has time, please can you check out my site at:

www.urban-sole.co.uk

I know there is still alot of things I could do with it and it still feels a lot like the default. However I can't help but think I don't want something that is too different. I think simple and efficient is best. I would like some ideas as to how I could change it, rather than going down a certain path and wasting my time.

Thanks!

Hi,

I just had a look at you site and I think it looks good - but it needs proper descriptions off each product and people need to select what size shoe they want. Also you need more products on there.

In return I would really appreciate if I could get some feedback from you too -

My website has been running now for 3 months and has had thousands of unique visitors, but no one has ordered. Can you please give me any feedback of what you think about the products, prices, and the website in general, I would really appreciate it!!! The website is - www.naturalbodyskincare.com

Much Appreciated and Merry Christmas to You!

Cheers

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback its greatly appreciated. Yeah I realise that I need better descriptions but I haven't actually got any stock yet! I'm in taiwan studying chinese & looking for suppliers. When I get back to the UK Im gonna try my own business. I am really intrigued to know how you get thousands of unique visits? How do you get people to find your site. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

As to your site I would suggest the following (based on what I have done to my website):

1) Centre your website using a simple contribution - I think its only a few lines (compare mine and yours on a bigger display with the window maximised. You get lots of whitespace).

2) Try to change the buttons for Buy, Add to cart. A contribution can sort this out. You are still using the default.

3) You have only 1 language - so why display one language in the languages box? I would remove the box.

4) Change as much of the layout of the boxes round the sides.

5) Change the bar at the top with checkout, cart, my account etc to a more graphical looking one.

I am trying to think down the lines of, if I was a new customer to the site, but already knew about osCommerce what would I think. Basically, it should be unrecognisable from osCommerce.

I think the site is good because its fully stocked and it specialises in something. It just needs a bit more work. I realise I need to do a lot more work on mine too!

So how you are getting so many visitors and also how you are doing the payment?

Do you think Paypal is enough? What about suppliers? Do you go through the UK? Sorry for all the questions but I am new to online business. Any advice would be great.

Thanks,

Jon

Oh and I forgot to say, the prices of your products seem to be strange and not in line with normal retail prices. Normally things are priced at x.99 or x.95? Maybe this is making people think you haven't been trading very long and don't feel confident buying your products. Could you not do with the extra profit anyway? :)
