amestres Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 I purchased an osC template and begun doing some content modifications (change wording, pictures, etc)...I am not a programmer..in fact quite new at this. I even had someone else install the site on the hosting company for me. Well I was making some changes and not sure what I did but I could not get access to the admin tools and the site shows a risk security message (see www.wittydoodles.com) I tried for 4 days to fix it but I could not, so today I used my hosting FTP maneger, I deleted the admin folder and reloaded it from the original package....well now I get this when I go to www.wittydoodles.com/admin FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it! I dont know what that is...I need help , I am ready to give up on this
Guest Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 for the register gloabals there is a contribution to rectify this: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2097 The risk security message you saw perhaps is from your catalog/admin/configure.php and catalog/configure.php when they have write access. These files should be set using your host's cpanel to read only. (for example permissison 400)
♥Vger Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Whoever wrote that template must be making a fortune out of it - given the number of sites posting on this forum that are using it. Vger
