cordeliaflyte Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 It seems like everyone who's wanted to really customize the design of their site must have gone through the same really time-consuming and brain-muddling trial-and-error process of trying to figure out what all the styles in stylesheets.css do as i have. I've figured out certain things and I've found a few partially commented versions of this file (one on the CREloaded forums and one on the commercial OSCommerce.manuals.com site) but nothing really complete, comprehensive and helpful. Yet it seems like it MUST exist somewhere, as many of us have had to go through figuring out what all these styles affect. Does anyone know of a publically available guide to the stylesheets.css file? Anyone have their own, commented version they'd be willing to post? I would offer to collaborate with the community to develop such a document if it does not exist, but i'm worried my only cursory understanding of the whole OSC code infrastructure would lead me to make more mistakes than helpful comments. I'm always guessing when i'm making mods... Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks cordelia
MarthaD Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 I would be willing to help you with this. The only thing I find blatently wrong with the current stylesheet is the re-use of some things in parts of the site where a new class should be defined. Off topic, the silly box classes could use a revamp for those listening and working on the new version :)
