amandat Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 I'm trying to offer free shipping on a gift certificate but the rest of the products in the store have a flat rate shipping offered. I need it so the Gift Certificate, once added to the cart, will always be free shipping even if another regular item is added. The regular item can still have the shipping rate applied. Is there a contribution for this? Or a way to work it in OSC?

Is there a contribution for this? Or a way to work it in OSC? Could you set that item to a different tax class, then have the flat rate assigned to all of the other items? Or.. Maybe set the item as a 'special' and just adjust the price to subract the flat shipping rate? hope it helps :-"
♥Vger Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Enable downloads in your osC admin panel. Make sure that each Gift Cert you set up has no weight, and that all non-virtual products have a weight attached to them. Gift Certs won't be charged shipping, and all products with weights will be.
