add word document to product description

Hello,

How can i add a word document to product description?

i.e: adding from admin like adding the image, i would add the .doc file and it will be possible to 'click for more info' in the shop and the document will open.

Maybe a contribution is there that i overlooked?

Why would you want to use a Word document?

 

You can add a URL to your product description. :blink:

As Johnson says you can use the url field as the link, I did this for someone changing the text part but using the field as a link to show a movie it can be done the same for a file or you could add an extra field and seperate code specific for the word doc, however this is not necessary unless you need the url field for another link.

Thank you Steve and Matti for your replies.

Most of the products have more description needed, which is all in word. These word files need to be inserted through admin and not with ftp, so every product added should have a browse button to add the .doc file, and the product_info page should show a link to the file.
